We are excited to bring back an event that energizes our community with visitors and pride — we’ve officially signed a three-year agreement with Cor Powersports to host top snowmobile racing in Walker!
As part of the 2025-26 Cor Powersports Snowmobile Cross Country Series, Walker has been chosen to host Round 5 of this thrilling nine-event series across the Midwest. This exciting race weekend will take place on February 28-March 1 as a two-day event held right in the bay area in front of Trapper's Landing Lodge, and it is proudly hosted by Lakes Area Powersports and Trapper's Landing Lodge.
We invite spectators, families, and fans to join us for this exciting event. Experience the energy, speed, and thrill set against the breathtaking backdrop of Leech Lake. The Merit restaurant will be open for viewing, offering great food, drinks, and a front-row seat to the races. This is a weekend you won't want to miss!
This partnership marks the return of top-tier snowmobile racing to our region, highlighting Walker as a premier destination for winter motorsports and year-round adventure. We’re excited to welcome racers, fans, and families to enjoy this unforgettable event.

The event will be based out of Trappers Landing Lodge on Leech Lake with pits on the lake in front of the lodge. Like the Heartland 200 and Goodridge/Grygla I-500 we have partnered with the local radio station to provide full race day coverage, the Leech Lake 200 will be broadcasted on KQ102 101.9 FM
The Leech Lake 200 will challenge racers with a 10-11 mile unplowed lake course.
