Cor Powersports is headed to Okoboji Iowa on January 23rd and 24th for the Okoboji 100. The Dickson County Snowhawks, which is the club heading up this race, has gone above and beyond to not only make this race happen on a fairly short notice, but to make this a spectacular event! They have come out with an event logo and even merchandise to order. The community also came together to come up with over $18,000 in purse money to distribute throughout the classes! This brings the Pro Stock and Pro Open winning purse to $2,500. This showed how excited the community is to have us come to their town. There is over $18,000 in additional purse for this event and it is spread out through ALL classes.
The Okoboji 100 will be a lake set up event with a 10-mile plowed course. Pits will be off the lake on concrete due to marina access so remember to bring equipment to transport your sled from trailer to ice. Neither Cor Powersports or the former series of USXC has ever run at this venue so we don’t have any past champions but that is about to change this weekend.
Going into round two of racing action, Zach Herfindahl is leading the season points in the Polaris Pro Factory 600 class. In the Arctic Cat Pro Open class, Dylan Stevens is leading after his win in round one. In the FXR Semi Pro Factory 600 class, Marshall Busse is up top and in the Nelson International Semi Pro 600 Improved Stock class, Paul Brown is on top of the points standings.
Cor Powersports and the entire crew are reading to head to Iowa for this inaugural event! Stay tuned on our Facebook page for updates throughout the weekend!
