First off we would like to thank everyone for their patience as we worked through things for the Heartland 200; the snowmobile clubs, local sponsors, and state officials all did their best to make things work with the terrain course but ultimately mother nature held the trump card…
This past weekend the local clubs went out and checked out conditions in the Paul Bunyan state forest where a majority of the terrain course is routed and yes trails are open but there is not enough snow to be able to run a safe course and ensure no damage to state property. With that information we connected with the chamber, snowmobile clubs, & MN DNR we all agreed that the best option is to move the event to Fish Hook Lake.
The event page at www.corpowersports.com has been updated, we will run the same format and lap counts that we did at Okobji last month, Pro Open and Pro Factory will both run 100 miles in the heads-up format. Course will be plowed and total of 10 miles in length, racing will start at 9 am each day with the Semi Pro / Pro qualifying then last two races of the day will both be heads up: Semi Pro and Pro finals will be HEADS UP!
