21/22 Cor PowerSports season changes

  • ISR- PERSONAL SAFETY RULE UPDATE 01-2021

It has been determined by increased injuries and follow up study, a recent trend in failure of driver’s protective helmets which has been attributed to the mounting of data collection, or digital video recording devices causing or increasing the failure rate of helmets. 

  • Such devices and their respective mounts will no longer be allowed in any ISR affiliated competition or practice.
  • Affiliates are to make inspection for such devices or their mounting equipment during pre-race safety procedures.
  • Any such device or mount will not be allowed.

 

  • ISR- HELMETS

Paint and other decals applied by the helmet owner leaves the liability with the helmet owner and the manufacturer. ISR encourages all to choose helmets with vibrant colors, and international orange is still strongly encouraged.

 

  • Cor PowerSports- Refueling
    • 4 gallon minimum refuel (changed from 2 gallon minimum)

 

  • Cor PowerSports- Heads Up Qualifiers
    • Must start qualifier for heads up races
    • If rider does not take start, they will not qualify for finals
    • You MUST race sled in final that you qualified with

 

  • Cor PowerSports- Points
    • Heads up:
      • Qualifier will have points awarded for first to tenth place (1st earns ten points - 10th earns one point)
      • Final will earn normal points (1st earns 50 points – 28th earns 1 point)
      • Example- First in qualifier earns 10 points and third in final earns 43 points so rider will earn 53 points for weekend
    • Saturday / Sunday combined times
      • Each day results will have points awarded for first to tenth place (1st earns ten points - 10th earns one point)
      • Overall combined times will earn normal points (1st earns 50 points – 28th earns 1 point)
      • Example- First on Saturday earns 10 points, third in on Sunday earns 8 points, combined time puts rider in second place earns 46 points; rider will earn 64 points for weekend total

 

  • Cor PowerSports- Engine CC displacement changes
    • Classic class - 700cc max
    • Trail class - 700cc max
