2027 Race Season Updates!!

Yes, the race season just ended 5 weeks ago, but we are already hard at it, working on the 2027 race season!

Yesterday, we posted this image to the website: the 2027 Cor PowerSports XC Race Series schedule!

The schedule should look extremely familiar, as it was the same as what we ran for the 2026 season, except that Houghton, MI, was the scheduled season finale. With Easter falling on the last weekend of March, we were forced to push the Copper Country 100 back by one week. The group has already started planning to build a course and putting in the work to do their best to ensure we have an amazing race route for 2027!

In addition to the schedule, we also want to update everyone on the classes offered for next season. We are making some changes and want to make sure everyone is fully aware of these changes early:

  • Pro Factory Women's will now be Pro Am Factory Women's to allow 14-year old riders with approved Jr advancement to compete

  • Vintage ('85 and older) will change to Retro ('94 and older)

  • Expert 600 Limited will be dropped and not replaced

Classes offer for 2027 will be:

  • Pro Factory

  • Pro Open

  • Pro Am Factory Women's

  • Semi Pro Pro Factory

  • Semi Pro Improved Stock

  • Sport Stock

  • Sport Improved Stock

  • Classic (‘04 and older up to 700cc)

  • Retro (‘94 and older up to 700cc)

  • Trail

  • Junior 8-12 Transition (select events)

  • Junior 10-13

  • Junior 10-13 Girls

  • Junior 14-17

  • Junior 14-17 Girls

  • Vet 30+

  • Masters 40+

We have taken a few weeks off from recording with the Out of the Snowdust podcast, but we will be back for an episode to be posted on May 27. We will be interviewing Marc Franchini with Backcountry Village in Houghton, MI, who is one of the event sponsors for the Copper Country 100.

We will also have a major announcement on that podcast, so make sure to tune in!!

We appreciate all of our fans, racers, sponsors, and event partners for their continued support over the past 15 years, and we look forward to seeing where God leads us in the future!
