New MESC venue for the MESC MI round!!

Just wanted to give everyone a quick update as we have received a few inquiries on our plans for this season: We are working on a great schedule for the upcoming season, Big Powderhorn in Ironwood, MI is slotted for April 4/5 (weekend prior to Easter) which has always been our MI date, Giants Ridge is confirmed for one of the weekends after Easter but we are waiting to confirm the date..

Giants Ridge will be moved to main side of the resort this year and not put on the south side of the resort, all of the races will be based right up front by lodging and the main chalet.

We are also working on a couple other short course XC events earlier in the season but those again we are trying to finalize dates.

We will NOT be running an event to conflict with Jackson Hole this year, we want our racers who qualified for Jackson to be able to focus on that event and not worry about points back here.

Season membership will open up as soon as our schedule is finalized.

Looking forward to seeing everyone at the races this winter!!

Big Powderhorn Mountain is a 250-acre ski resort located in Gogebic County in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, within Bessemer Township and Ironwood Township. The mountain is part of the Gogebic Range with a summit of 1,640 ft and a base elevation of 1,240 ft, for a 400 ft. vertical drop
